St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and here in Indianapolis, IN we have several events planned! Here’s a round up of of some of the favorites here in our great city of Indianapolis, IN. Don’t forget to stop in a local establishment and enjoy a pot of stew and some Guinness, too!
Greening of the Canal. For the 20th straight year, the folks at the Hoosier Lottery will help Indy celebrate by making the downtown canal run green. Dress the part and join us for live music, dancing, and a lot of fun! Wednesday, March 16th, 5-5:45pm, Ohio and West Streets. Don’t miss the block party on Thursday, March 17th on Vermont Street (between Meridian & Pennsylvania), 10am – 2pm.
Parade. Don’t miss the St. Patrick’s Day parade on Thursday, March 17th at 11:30am downtown! In it’s 36th year, the parade will feature high school bands, floats, Irish dancers, bag pipe bands, and more!
Pub Crawl. If you are look for a less family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day, don’t forget about the St. Patty’s Day March Madness Pub Crawl. Start off at the Pavilion to register and then walk, or crawl, to the nine participating bars. End the day at the after party at the Pavilion. Registration is open from 3-7pm and the event goes till midnight. $25, Thursday, March 17th.
